Random Diary Entry: Confronting Fears and Embracing Freedom

Today, I took some time to reflect on my journey and the realizations I've had about myself. It wasn't until I found my faith that I truly acknowledged the fear I had of men. Before, I thought I was strong and in control, but once I started applying God’s Word to my life, everything changed. I realized that the power I thought I wielded—through sex, lies, and manipulation—was actually rooted in fear. Fear of what men thought of me, fear of rejection, and fear of being seen for who I really am.

I often worried about how they would perceive me. Would they think I was ugly? Too weird? Would they see me and decide that there was no future with me? Those thoughts consumed me and dictated my actions. I never allowed myself to see the truth: my worth was never tied to their opinions.

One area I’m still grappling with is my thought process. I’ve recognized that many of my fears are exaggerated and stem from a lack of emotional control. I was never guided through my thinking, which left me feeling trapped. The fear became so overwhelming that I hesitated to leave the house with my children, worried about how my boyfriend would react or what he might say. I had given so much of myself away, submitting to his desires and expectations.

Now, as I transition into the woman God has called me to be, I’m ready to face those fears head-on. Rejection is something I’ve dealt with throughout my life, especially with men. But I know that my past does not define my future. I’ve made the decision to take small steps toward reclaiming my freedom. One of my first actions will be to take walks with my children—just around the block or to the store. I'm not going to ask for permission anymore; instead, I will respectfully inform him of my plans. It’s time to assert my independence and stop letting fear dictate my choices.

As I embark on this journey, I plan to explore more with my kids, expanding our horizons and creating new memories together. I’m committed to staying firm on God’s Word, renewing my mind with scriptures that uplift and encourage me. I’m feeding my spirit with teachings that challenge the dysfunctional mindset I grew up with.

Changing my perspective is crucial. I want to see beyond the person in front of me and recognize the spirits that may be influencing their behavior. I’m learning to parent with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, fully embracing my healing process. This means I must be willing to let go of everything and everyone that God has not called me to connect with—people or situations that could cause harm to me or my children.

As I reflect on these changes, I feel a sense of liberation taking root in my heart. I’m stepping out of the shadows of fear and into the light of God’s truth. It’s a journey, but I’m ready to embrace it fully.

As I close this entry, I leave myself—and you, dear reader—with a motivational question: **What fears are holding you back from stepping into the life God has called you to live?** It's time to confront those fears and take bold steps toward freedom. You are worthy of the life you desire, and with God by your side, you can overcome anything.
