Embracing the Chaos: How to Overcome the Pressure of being a mother through Christ
As a mother of six, I can honestly say that motherhood is a beautiful journey that is filled with joy, love, and a fair share of challenges. For mothers with young children, the pressures can sometimes feel overwhelming, you may often find yourself juggling countless responsibilities, from school runs to meal prep and everything in between. Here are some strategies to help you manage the chaos and embrace the journey of motherhood.
1. Put God first
As a mother, putting God first is essential for nurturing not only your spirit but also the spirits of your children. When you prioritize your relationship with God, you equip yourself with strength, wisdom, and patience to face the daily challenges of motherhood. This commitment allows you to model faith and trust for your children, teaching them the importance of seeking guidance and solace in God during both joyful and difficult times. Engaging in prayer, studying Scripture, and participating in a church that God wants you to be at can provide the support and encouragement you need, reminding you that you are never alone in your journey. By anchoring your family in faith, you create a loving and resilient home where God's presence is felt and cherished.

It's easy to put yourself last when you're caring for a large family, but self-care is essential. Make time for activities that rejuvenate you, whether it’s reading a book, taking a long bath, or enjoying a quiet cup of coffee. Consider scheduling "me time" into your day, even if it's just for 15-20 minutes. Remember, you can't pour from an empty cup.

Involve your children in this process; they can help create a chart that outlines daily activities. Routines instill a sense of security and help everyone know what to expect.
